What side should your shower door open on?

It is important to realize that there is no right or wrong when determining what side your shower door should open on. In fact, the vast majority of shower doors on the market these days are reversible. This means that they can be installed using a door hinge on either the right or the left. To achieve this with the majority of designs today, you are simply going to need to rotate the full door by 180 degrees, i.e. you should flip it upside down.

A fixed panel is incorporated into a sliding shower door. Your fitter is going to install this either on the right-hand or left-hand side, which will depend on your preference for entering the shower.
