Diane's remodeling project on Cypressdale Court was a comprehensive venture to rejuvenate her first-floor bathroom. This project entailed not only a bathtub and shower remodel but also enhancements to the vanity, lighting, and overall bathroom aesthetics.

The process commenced with thorough job preparation to protect Diane's home. This included full demolition of the existing bathtub and shower area, plumbing adjustments, and hauling away all debris to pave the way for a fresh start.
Crafting the New Bathtub and Shower
- Bathtub Selection:
- A Grotte 60” freestanding bathtub with a curved drain and overflow in brushed nickel finish was installed, providing a serene and luxurious focal point.
- Shower Base and Wall Surround:
- A custom tile shower pan was laid, and BCI Canyon Rock wall surrounds in a 12 x 12 Roma pattern were installed, offering a contemporary and rugged appeal.
Enhancements and Accessories
- Tile Work and Fixtures:
- Tivoli Noce tiles in a 12 x 24 size with an offset pattern were used for both the shower wall and tub surround, creating a cohesive and elegant look, matched with high-quality Lahara fixtures in Venitian Bronze from Delta.
- Shower Accessories:
- A tile recessed caddy and grab bars in brushed nickel added functionality and style to the shower area.
Vanity, Lighting, and Electrical Upgrades
- Vanity and Faucets:
- Diane chose Wayfair's Rossi 36 and 48 white cabinets with white Carrera countertops, complemented by Lahara 8” spread faucets in brushed nickel.
- Lighting and Electrical:
- The bathroom's ambiance was enhanced with new recessed can lights, vanity sconces in brushed nickel, and strategically placed new outlets.
Painting and Finishing Touches
- Paint and Texture:
- The walls, doors, ceiling, and trim were freshly painted, with a focus on matching the existing texture to ensure a seamless and refined finish.
