The Roadmap to a New Beginning
The project kicked off with meticulous preparation, safeguarding Jeffrey's home while our team embarked on the full demolition of the existing shower area. This initial phase was crucial, setting the stage for a complete overhaul.
Crafting the Shower's Heart
- Shower Base:
- A 48 x 36 center drain Onyx shower base in Dorian color was chosen for its sleek design and functional excellence. The mid-profile base with a subtle threshold added a contemporary touch.
- Wall Surround:
- BCI white wall surround in a classic subway pattern brought a timeless look to the shower. The solid surface polymer walls, resistant to moisture, promised durability and style.
- Wainscot Addition:
- We also installed wainscotting in the bathroom, wrapping the walls in the same BCI white subway pattern up to 46” for a cohesive and elegant appearance.
Enhancements for Functionality and Style
- Shower Accessories:
- A wide recessed Onyx caddy and a 14x14 corner Pearl series seat, both in Dorian, were added, marrying convenience with luxury.
- Custom Additions:
- A custom Onyx slab was used to cap the existing pony wall, adding a seamless finish in the same Dorian color.
Final Touches: Fixtures and Enclosure
- Shower and Tub Fixtures:
- The Lahara shower head and valve trim kit in brushed nickel were installed, reflecting Jeffrey's preference for sleek and modern fittings.
- Enclosure:
- A custom frameless glass enclosure with brushed nickel hardware enclosed the space. The clear, tempered glass, treated for hard water spot resistance, added a layer of sophistication.
